Debate: Polish presidency of the Visegrad Group. Expectations, challenges and opportunities – summary
On Thursday 18 June 2020 the first expert debate in the #RODMonline series took place. The event was organized by the Warsaw Institute think-tank and the editorial board of The Warsaw Institute Review in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Regional Center for International Debate in Cracow.
The May’s proceedings of the Chinese parliament that took place in the shadow of the growing tension between Beijing and Washington brought surprising decisions, affecting the current policy of the People’s Republic of China.

On Wednesday 6th May 2020 the editorial office of The Warsaw Institute Review organized its 3rd experts debate titled „Germany: Energiewende, atom and Nord Stream 2”. Similary to previous events of the series, the debate took place in a form of a live broadcast, beginning with experts’ speeches, and then going to Q&A session, during which the viewers were able to ask questions through social media.
On April 29, 2020, The Warsaw Institute Review team held another expert debate ‘Disinformation – Russian Strategic Weapon Yesterday and Today’. The event, organized in the form of live broadcast, allowed active participation of our spectators through social media channels.
On April 22nd, 2020, the editorial office of The Warsaw Institute Review organized an expert debate titled “USA versus China: Rivalry for influence in Central and Eastern Europe”. The event took place in the form of live broadcasts, allowing viewership and active involvement in the debate through social media in the face of the pandemic.
Due to the spreading coronavirus epidemic, the Warsaw Institute team and The Warsaw Institute Review have decided to cancel all events we organize until further notice.
On the evening of Tuesday, 03.03.2020, The Warsaw Institute Review (WIR) held a public expert debate on geopolitics in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, as well as how it might look from the perspective of Poland.
On the evening of Wednesday 19.02.2020, The Warsaw Institute Review (WIR) and Warsaw Institute (WI) held a public event titled “Communist China in the Geopolitics of the New Decade”.
