Polish – American air force exercise in Łask

The AvDet air force exercises are taking place at the military base in Łask, Poland. Polish pilots are training with American pilots stationed in Germany.

The Polish-American AvDet exercise has started at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask. Polish pilots will train with US F16 pilots of the 480th Squadron based at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. 18 US F-16 fighters have flown to Poland to take part in the exercise.

General Ireneusz Nowak, the commander of the 2nd Tactical Air Wing told the that these joint exercises are aimed at building interoperability, better cooperation with the US air force, and joint training, as flights with mixed teams are also trained.

The joint air force exercises including training with Polish and US F-16 fighters which started last Monday, will last until mid-September.
