Poland to propose the new Marshall Plan for Belarus

Yesterday, Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki informed that he will propose a “Marshall Plan for Belarus” at the next EU Council.

According to the PM, the plan has been consulted with Visegrad Group countries and will be proposed in V4’s name. Prime Minister also informed that “Marshall Plan for Belarus” will contain economic proposals for Belarus in the case of a free election in the country.

After three – hour parliamentary talks with caucuses and circles, Mateusz Morawiecki stated that it was building to see Poland’s opposition and government unite around the Belarusian situation. Morawiecki also informed about progress in the implementation of a “Solidarity With Belarus” aid programme, to which Poland has channeled EUR 11,2 million.
