Polish companies want to maintain employment levels
As many as 83 percent of Polish companies plan for employment to remain unchanged despite the coronavirus epidemic, according to the latest research by the state-owned Polish Development Fund and the government advisory body, the Polish Economic Institute.
The 83 percent figure in July’s survey is 21 percentage points higher compared to the April poll, the researchers observe. The report adds that only 5 percent plan a reduction in employment and 9 percent want to increase the headcount.
Some 78 percent of employees say the risk of losing their jobs in the next three months is highly or moderately improbable, whereas 12 percent say such a risk is highly or moderately probable, a 4 pps drop compared to early July.
